Opinions & Facts, Charlie Le Mindu

Well GaGa would be proud. This Designer is one i have never heard of before until today and he facsinates me completely. It amazes me to how he constructed human hair into garments and makes them completely wearable without complications and no needs to hesitate. His designs do keep me speechless as i peer at them with great detail. Another point about Charlie i love is his presentation of his designs and how he gets his models to interact with the garments and ooze a sense of sex appeal through it aswell as an interesting personality which intises you in for more.

Designer Profile, Charlie le Mindu

Charlie Le Mindu reminds me of a more fourthcoming Alexander McQueen, This can be seen as a  insult or complimant however you take it but to me its like an introduction to a new born genius. with his use of peculiar materials into masterful pieces of wearable art.

Starting off as a hair stylist and now come designer Charlie Le Mindu is a london based bad boy in the fashion world. Originally from France he began hair dressing from the tender age of 13. respecting his french roots hes built his style to be recoginised as innovative sexy and daring. incorporating his incredible talent within hair styling and his passion for the material itself he began a new age of design.
In 2008 after a few moves around europe including Berlin, Charlie made the decision to move to London to begin his impact. after featuring in many influential fashion magazines including French Vouge and being named the 22nd coolest person by the observer, Charlie made the decsion that would put him permantly on the map by showcaseing an innovative wig collection at London Fashion Week. From this he has furthered his career and press relation featuring in italian vouge, I-D, exhibitied at the V&A, opened a flagship at the urban retreat within Harrods and much more.

Opinion & Facts, Pam Hogg

My opinion on Pam Hogg is that you couldn't show more nip if you tried. I have this growing feeling that she may have a platonic relationship with the same sex and she trys to portray this in mysterious ways within her work. Although its very out there it is also cleverly constructed together and provides a real wow factor when seen whether for the first, second or tenth time.

Short hem lines and promiscuous fabrics create a sexed up collection.

Facts on Beautiful Pam,
  • Joined her first band "Rubbish" after graduating her masters of art at RCA.
  • She was self taught within her outrageous creations.
  • Shes dressed some of the most elitist in fashion and POP culture.

I dont know about you but when i look at pam i have a tendancy to flash back into the big, flame haired face of Vivenne Westwood.

Designer Profile, Pam Hogg

Studying at GSA (Glasgow School of Art), she propelled to fame after winning numerous awards and furthering her study at RCA. Lauching her first collection in 1981 she sold out in hyper hyper and refused to sell out to mainsteam fashion. In 1991 she became more recognised and was introduced by terry wogan as “one of the most original, inventive, creative designers in Britain” and soon added “She has reached what is called Cult Status”
Establishing herself as a key design figure through the 80s and 90s her success continued in the 00s where she began to show case at LFW.  She also began to dress relevant celebrities and from this was stocked in browns where she was given the rare honour to dress their windows for halloween.
Pams status has slightly demised as we reach the teenies but her hardcore symbol still keeps her legacy.
